Our 2nd Annual Martini Bash took place at Pierpont Place in Salt Lake City, UT on April 5th, 2013.  It was a huge success and featured live music from Jazz Brulee, custom Rack Pack beer from Raineri Brewing Company, dancing and most importantly fundraising! Thank you to everyone that donated, attended and volunteered!

KUTV2 – Pay it Forward:

KUTV2 featured The Rack Pack Foundation during their Pay It Forward segment in March 2013:

Thank you Mountain America Credit Union!

DownEast Basics:
We were thrilled to be a recipient of a grant from DownEast Basics as part of their LIVE for Pink program. They donated a huge chunk of change to grant recipients through the sale of their special pink tee shirts, so thanks to DownEast Basics!

3-Day Walk – San Diego:
Our own Board of Directors member, Michele Earlewine, and walking partner Debbie Nees complete a 60 mile, 3 day walk in San Diego in November to help fight breast cancer. Congrats ladies!

LIVESTRONG National Assembly: The Christi Anderson Rack Pack Foundation was one of the LIVESTRONG Community Impact Project grant recipients for the Cancer Transitions Program to help women transition into life after breast cancer treatment. This video documents Sarah Dufour’s experience as she represents The Rack Pack Foundation at the LIVESTRONG National Assembly in Austin, TX in March, 2012.

Park Silly Market Booth: The Rack Pack was excited to be chosen as a featured non-profit for the Park Silly Market on July 29th, 2012.  Thanks to those that stopped by to see us!

Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure – Salt Lake City: Yet another successful year for our Race for the Cure team “Christi’s Rack Pack”.  With the new race course and our very own Rack Pack Foundation booth – this event was a lot of fun.  Thanks for everyone that supported our team to help fight breast cancer!

Martini Bash:  On April 28th, 2012, The Rack Pack Foundation hosted a Martini Bash Fundraiser at the 15th Street Art Gallery in Salt Lake City, UT.  The event was a huge success and gave Rack Packers a reason to get dressed up, dance to live music, enjoy martinis and help the Rack Pack Foundation raise money to support local breast cancer patients.  Thanks to everyone that donated and attended!

Cancer Transitions Program: The Rack Pack Foundation received a grant from LIVESTRONG to execute the Cancer Transitions Program, a six week course with emphasis on diet, nutrition and emotional well-being.  This amazing program available in northern Utah is facilitated by Becky Anderson, who is a licensed social worker and also a breast cancer survivor.  She is joined by an oncology nurse, a registered dietitian and numerous exercise specialists who are geared up to help breast cancer survivors less than 24 months out of treatment.  We had a very successful run of the program in the Winter 2012 and again the Summer 2012.  Congrats to the lovely women that completed the program!

Brighton Collectibles Power of Pink: We loved being a part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2011 with the new Brighton Collectibles store in Fashion Place Mall!  They were kind enough to select our foundation to receive a portion of the proceeds from sales of their Power of Pink bracelet for October of 2011 — and it is gorgeous!  Thanks to all of our friends who came in to buy one (or more) or ordered by phone.  Your purchases helped us make many more care bags for breast cancer patients in Utah.  Thank you, friends, and thank you, Brighton Collectibles!

Rack Pack Bike Team – Tour de St. George: We had a team of Rack Pack chicks plus a few token males (ha ha) — Mike Earlewine, Lance Stoppenhagen, Ben Groesbeck and Chad Bruce — biking the Tour de St. George on October 15th.  Great job, everyone!  Couldn’t have had a more gorgeous day to bike in southern Utah.  Who says you can’t go 75+ miles in spite of flat tires and various other difficulties, as long as you stick together!!  Carol Groesbeck, Tiffany Bruce and Suzzie Larsen — woo hoo!

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer: The walk was COOOOOOLD but very worthwhile on October 8, 2011.  Thanks to Christi’s Rack Pack walkers who showed up and walked off that Nothing Bundt Cakes heavenly cupcake type thing!

Bunco or Bust: OK – Bunco is just plain fun, but put 372 bunco fanatics all in one room at the Casa Blanca in Mesquite, Nevada, add in a lot of breast cancer awareness and fundraising, and you have a fantastic event!  We took a team of 15 to Mesquite on October 1st and enjoyed having a booth to sell earrings, cards and wristbands, give away a care bag, and play a little bunco — actually it was a LOT of bunco!  Chelsea is especially glad she came to Bunco or Bust – BIG WINNER of the team!

Rack Pack Bike Team – Desperado Dual: We had a team of tough chick bike riders in the Desperado Dual in Panguitch, Utah on August 20, 2011 — with our custom made bike in its first race!  The Rack Pack was well represented and our ladies looked pretty cute in their logo jerseys!  Thanks to Carol Groesbeck, Tiffany Bruce and Suzzie Larsen.  You rock!

The Twilight Series : The Twilight Series in Pioneer Park was host to a Rack Pack booth a couple of summer nights!  Thanks for the invitation, and we hope to do it again next year!

Park Silly Days: Park Silly Days was a blast on July 10, 2011 — our booth was visited by many breast cancer survivors and we had an amazing day.  Hope to be invited again next year!

Pilates in the Park: Who doesn’t love Pilates in the Park??  Thanks to Jennifer Scott, we had an awesome fundraising activity on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at South Mountain Park.  We raised money to make more LoveHandles bags, ate a lot, did some exercise outside, and had tons of raffle prizes and some great silent auction items. Who says dodging sprinklers in a park can’t be fun?

Breast Care Center Ribbon Cutting: On Thursday, May 26, 2011 we were proud to participate in the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Breast Care Center at Jordan Valley Medical Center in West Jordan!  Our own Sarah Dufour now sits on that board of directors, hoping to make your “one stop breast care” experience the very best possible.  Congratulations to Jordan Valley for their excellent facility and caring staff.

Rack Pack Boutique: In May of 2010, we had a wonderful and very successful boutique at the home of a friend to kick off this foundation – the proceeds bought a memorial brick at Huntsman for Christi and helped sponsor a 3-day walker (60 miles in 3 days)!
